Calling our heels baddies to the stage!!
Blending hip-hop and R&B-inspired movement, this Live Performance Series led by our heels instructor, Kim, gives dancers the opportunity to learn a complete heels piece, then perform it live at Free Mind’s Annual Showcase on Tuesday, November 17th at Brooklyn Art Haus!
Throughout the series, you’ll learn choreography, develop formations, clean the piece, and work on the confidence, musicality, and performance quality needed to bring it to the stage. Some previous heels experience is recommended, but you do not need to be an advanced dancer to participate!

REHEARSAL DATES:
Sunday, October 4th | 11am - 1pm
Sunday, October 11th | 11am - 1pm
Sunday, October 18th | 11am - 1pm
Sunday, October 25th | 11am - 1pm
Dancers will also be provided a tutorial/follow along video so they can review the choreography and practice together between instructor-led sessions.
REQUIRED DRESS REHEARSAL & SHOWCASE
Saturday, November 14th — Dress Rehearsal | 5pm
Tuesday, November 17th — Live Showcase at Brooklyn Art Haus | 7:30pm (Call time ~5pm/5:30pm)
You must be available for all four instructor-led rehearsals, the dress rehearsal and the showcase to participate.
Because there are breaks between some rehearsal dates, dancers should be prepared to review rehearsal videos and practice independently. This is a performance commitment designed for dancers who are ready to show up, work as a team and experience the complete process of taking a heels piece from the studio to the stage!
