2026 Dance Collective SignUp
Free Mind, the Dance Collective is a full-season training experience designed to help you grow as a versatile, confident, and performance-ready dancer.
This open level collective focuses on developing strength, performance quality, and movement across styles like contemporary, jazz, and commercial, with opportunities to explore additional styles through guest instructors. You’ll be part of a consistent group of dancers working toward shared creative goals, while also discovering your individual style and voice as a mover.
By the end of the season, you won’t just have improved technique — you’ll have: A stronger, more confident presence, experience performing and/or being filmed, a deeper understanding of your body, a shared body of work that reflects your growth, and more.
Season Structure
Each training block focuses on a different style, ending in either a visual or live performance, helping you build a well-rounded body of work and grow your confidence as a performer.
If you're ready to explore different styles of dance, grow as a mover and performer, and commit to learning with the same group of people on a weekly basis, this is your place to be!
All levels welcomed -- we'll meet you where you are while challenging your growth.
Heels/Floorwork Visual Performance Collective
Over the course of this program, you’ll train weekly in heels and floorwork with a focus on performance quality, group choreography, and camera presence. Together, we’ll create multiple visual projects, including group pieces, duos, and solo moments, building a body of work that elevates your dancing and showcases your growth.
All levels are welcomed! The only requirement is a willingness to commit, learn choreography, and grow as a group.
What to expect:
-- 2 hours of training each week (May–November) - we'll have one Sunday off per month, typically in accordance to government holidays.
-- ~5–6 filmed visual projects
-- Opportunities for group, duo, and solo features
-- Development in performance, confidence, and camera presence
-- Potential live performance opportunities (in accordance with studio performances)
Commitment:
This is a group-based program, so consistent attendance is essential. Sessions will run Sundays from 5:30–7:30pm, with one Sunday off per month. Missed rehearsals may affect your participation in specific projects.

Sexy Rain Room Video Intensive
Join us for a Sexy Rain Room Solo Video Workshop where you’ll channel that video vixen energy! Heels or bare feet for this one — knee pads highly recommended. The choreo is open level and chairography themed.
Week 1: Learn the combo
Week 2: Clean combo, performing for camera training (in studio shoot)
Week 3: Meet at the rain room (FD Studios in Brooklyn) and film!
You’ll also receive a follow along video to master the routine at home, ensuring you will be 100% confident heading into shoot day.

Tap into your sensual side in this beginner-friendly floorwork video workshop inspired by low-flow pole movement. We’ll focus on fluidity, confidence, and feeling good in your body while learning a sultry, grounded combo. Heels optional—pleasers, pumps, dance heels, or none at all. Enjoy soulful singing, jazz inspired dance, and beautiful moments from our a cappella group and free mind community performers. Dress in your upscale jazz attire and step into a speakeasy-style vibe with table seating and standing room options.

a Cappella Auditions
Join us for Free Mind A Cappella Auditions!
Looking for passionate singers to be part of our studio’s a cappella group.
*Music reading is a plus, but not required!*
Come prepared with a song of your choice, then we’ll learn and sing a piece together as a group. Auditions will be held on Sunday, Feb 1st from 3pm - 5pm. If you love harmonizing, performing, and creating music in a supportive space, this is your chance to be part of something special!
Season starts mid February and runs until mid November for our studio showcase performance!

HipHop/Contemporary Fusion Workshop

Come celebrate Free Mind Owner, Callie’s 28th birthday with a fundraising event for the safety of stray cats! As a cat lover and former Jersey resident, where she saw first hand how bad the stray cat population is, AND gearing up to her one year anniversary of losing her former street cat and beloved fur baby, Mia, Callie wants to help the kitties of Jersey for her birthday and YOU'RE INVITED!
